Restaurants around Alexandria will offer special menus for Alexandria Restaurant Week. Here's what Del Ray eateries will serve up.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Restaurant Week starts on Friday, and Del Ray restaurants will offer a variety of special menus.
The summer restaurant week from Aug. 18 to 27 features restaurant week dinner menus priced at $25, $35 or $45 per person. Over 70 restaurants will participate, including ones in Old Town, Del Ray, the West End and beyond.
The Del Ray neighborhood's restaurants will give diners plenty of cuisine choices. Savor the flavors of Nepal and India or feast on barbecue and other American favorites at these restaurants.

Cheesetique: This cheese-centric restaurant will offer caprese salad or chilled golden gazpacho as the starter, entrée choices of creamy black truffle gnocchi, chicken pot pie, shrimp and grits, lasagna, or beef short ribs, and dessert choices of chocolate mousse, original cheesecake, or key lime cheesecake. The menu is $35 per person. Plus, take home lasagna or mac n' Cheesetique for two for $14.99 more.

Del Ray Cafe: French specialties will be served up for $35 (two courses) or $45 (three courses). Appetizers include the soup of the day, DRC salad, Burgundy snails, seafood medley of calamari, mussels, baby shrimp, chopped clams and Parisian mushrooms, and foie gras. For the main course, choose between risotto with wild mushrooms and white truffle oil, sauteed Icelandic loin of cod, chicken Paillard, or hanger steak. For dessert, choices are choquettes with raspberry coulis and Belgian chocolate sauce, crème brûlée, or three sorbets.
Evening Star Cafe: At this American favorite, start with choices of roasted beet salad, meatballs Pomodoro, crispy brussel sprouts, smoked Boudin balls, Caesar salad, Broccoli rabe, or smoked whitefish dip. Main courses include citrus-brind pork chop, grilled bacon meatloaf, seared Scottish salmon, braised lamb shoulder, smash burger, spicy chicken sandwich, and cavatelli with wild mushrooms, truffled pecorino fondue and red wine reduction. For dessert, choose between shortcake with peach butter and syrup, flourless chocolate cake, and chocolate cake. The menu is $45 per person.

Junction Bakery & Bistro: At this bistro, enjoy two courses for $25 per person. Small plate options are the Reuben egg rolls and Buffalo cauliflower. Large plate options are the coconut curry bowl, short rib mac and cheese, and chicken parm sandwich. Cocktails may be added for $14.
Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap: Enjoy Italian favorites for $35 for person. Start with a Caesar salad, mixed green salad or grilled peach salad. The second course is a 10-inch wood-fired pizza, and the third course is something from the dessert menu or glass of house wine.
Northside 10: This $35-per-person menu includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Appetizer options are braised short rib ravioli, risotto fritters, or bistro burger sliders. Entree options are mustard barbecued salmon, half rack of ribs, steak and fries, and farmer's market risotto. For dessert, the choices are the chocolate fudge brownie or summer berry crisp.
Pork Barrel BBQ: Dig into barbecue for $35, which can feed one or two. The menu comes with a half smoked chicken, half rack of dry rub St. Louis ribs, choice of two sides and bourbon bread pudding or two PBR Tallboys.
Royal Nepal: Enjoy a taste of Nepal with this menu for $35 per person. Start with a house beer, wine, lassi or fresh juice plus watermelon salad or Royal crunch salad. Small bite options are chicken chili, Sukuti Sadheko, crispy eggplant or kale, bara, Aloo Sadheko, spicy Chana Chatpat, or momo. Big bite options include Jhir salmon, Royal chicken curry, Ghee chicken or ghee paneer, spicy lamb curry, wild boar curry, Aloo cauliflower, and chana curry. For dessert, diners will get Sikarni.
RT's Restaurant: Enjoy Creole favorites over four course for $35 per person. Start with alligator stew or chicken Andouille gumbo, then get a mixed green salad. Entree options include shellfish Etouffe, Southern fried catfish, New Orleans steak frites, or pan roasted salmon. For dessert, the choices are Creole bread pudding or chocolate mousse.
Spice Kraft Indian Bistro: Try the restaurant week menu from the 2023 Taste of Del Ray winner. Start with a samosa veg, spicy cauliflower, Thandoori chicken wings, or cumin barbecue chicken. Then enjoy channa masala and entree choices of paneer tikka masala, corn and spinach koftha, butter chicken, shrimp Jalfrezi, or lamb Malabar. Finish it off with dessert choices of Gulab Jaman with nuts or mango Kesari.
