Commercial Robbery In Arlandria Leads To Arrests Of 2: Police

Alexandria Police charged two suspects on the same day as a commercial robbery on Mount Vernon Avenue.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Two people were arrested and charged following an armed commercial robbery Thursday in Alexandria's Arlandria neighborhood.

Alexandria Police responded Thursday morning to the robbery in the 3700 block of Mount Vernon Avenue. Police believe a gun was present in the robbery, but there were no injuries.

Later that day, police identified and arrested the suspects, Michael Lazo, 19 of Fredericksburg, and Deshaun Stoney, 32, of Alexandria. Lazo was charged with robbery, while Stoney was charged with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Police seized the gun believed to be used in the robbery.
