ALEXANDRIA, VA — The new school year is quickly approaching, and families are available to help families prepare for the first day in Del Ray for students in Alexandria City Public Schools.
The first day of school for most students in Alexandria is Monday, Aug. 21. Samuel Tucker Elementary School, which runs on a modified calendar, started the school year on July 25.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:
