Early Reviews in for New Northside 10 Restaurant in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Neighborhood restaurant Northside 10, which recently opened at 10 E. Glebe Road in Alexandria serving up Southern favorites, daily specials and craft beer, wine and cocktails, has earned 4.5 stars from 16 reviews on Yelp after opening Jan. 16.

• Balraj B. of Alexandria writes: "Exemplary courtesy and service !Went for a quick lunch. It was early and the place was not very busy as yet. In spite of living a block away for over 25 years, never went to Chez Andre that Northside replaced so cannot comment on that but the new place is clean and welcoming and the patio should be lovely, come warmer months. The parking lot is definitely a plus.My wife loved her flounder over shrimp risotto, offered me a taste and lost half her meal. The short rib poutine was good too. Iced tea was fresh and crisp. Overall a stellar meal.Will be back to checkout other offerings on the interesting menu."
• Christine S. from Alexandria says: "Great dinner and service (especially considering they've only been open for 2 weeks!). Had the BBQ mustard salmon, which was very flavorful, and the blackened catfish, which was also good (but could have the presentation improved). Deduct one star because it was so loud in the dining room, I'm a bit horse from just trying to have a conversation with my husband. Get some sound dampeners and they get 5 stars from me!We'll be back, regardless. Great addition to the neighborhood.

So glad we checked it out and look forward to our next visit. Great atmosphere and vibe. Our server, Antonio Banderas, made ordering enjoyable - really fantastic server. Very kid friendly."

• Sundays: 10 a.m. -12 midnight
• Brunch: Saturdays and Sundays: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
• Happy hour: Monday-Friday from 3- 7 p.m., with food and drink specials.
