Fugitive Shot By Federal Marshal In Alexandria Shopping Center: Police
Alexandria Police say the U.S. Marshals Service was involved in a shooting of a fugitive in the Potomac Yard area on Tuesday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A wanted fugitive was injured when shot by a member of a federal fugitive task force at a shopping center Tuesday, according to Alexandria Police.
Alexandria Police had responded around 12:46 p.m. to the shooting in the 3600 block of Richmond Highway in Potomac Yard. Police determined the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located a wanted fugitive in the shopping center.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Marshals Service told WTOP a marshal shot the armed suspect as officers tried to arrest him. The unidentified suspect is wanted on attempted murder, firearms possession and assault charges by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office in Easton, Maryland.

The man, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation closed parts of the Potomac Yard Shopping Center. NBC Washington saw a vehicle that bullets had struck, as well as shattered glass.
