On the Roads

As of 7:44 a.m., a crash was reported on northbound George Washington Memorial Parkway after Spout Run Parkway in Arlington County.

As of 7:37 a.m., a disabled vehicle closed the right shoulder on southbound I-95 before Warrenton Road in Stafford County.

As of 7:31 a.m., a multi-vehicle crash is affecting northbound I-495 before Route 50 in Fairfax County. All lanes are open, but delays may still be possible.

As of 7:29 a.m., a disabled vehicle may cause delays on the reversible I-95 Express Lanes in Fairfax County in the Lorton area.

As of 6:25 a.m., flashing traffic lights are impacting Pennsylvania Avenue SE in both directions at Fairlawn Avenue SE in Washington, DC.

On the Rails

Blue Line service is not operating south of Reagan National Airport through Oct. 22 due to Metro's Blue and Yellow Line construction. Shuttle buses and other alternatives are available. There is no Yellow Line service, with Blue and Green Line service replacing Yellow Line service.

Virginia Railway Express service is fare-free throughout September.

Weather

Patchy fog before 10 a.m. and a high near 85. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 p.m. Some storms could cause small hail and gusty winds. At night, showers and thunderstorms mainly before 11 p.m. and low around 67.
