Heart Of Del Ray 2024 Award Nominees Announced
The public can vote for the annual Heart of Del Ray award, which goes to the business representing the "heart and soul" of Del Ray.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Five businesses and organizations are nominated for the 2024 Heart of Del Ray award.
The annual award from the Del Ray Business Association goes to a business or organization that represents the "heart and soul" of the Del Ray neighborhood. Nominees in 2024 are The Dairy Godmother and Just Fine Donuts, The Dog Store/Your Dog's Best Friends, James M. Duncan Branch of Alexandria Library/Friends of Duncan Library, Spice Kraft Indian Bistro-Del Ray and St. Elmo's Coffee Pub.
Voting is open through 12 p.m. on Feb. 8. The winner will receive a heart-shaped award on Feb. 9 to display in time for Valentine's Day.

Businesses can only win the award once. Last year's winner was Del Ray Farmers Market. Other past winners of the award have been A Show of Hands, Jen Walker of McEnearney Associates, Bobi Bomar Homes of Alexandria, The Neighborhood Pharmacy of Del Ray, Greener Cleaner of Del Ray, Del Ray Pizzeria, Mind the Mat Pilates & Yoga, Caboose Cafe, Del Ray Cafe, HomeGrown Restaurant Group, Taqueria Poblano, Ms. Preeti's 7-11, Dolce & Bean and Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap.
