Inova Tops Out Oakville Triangle's New Health Facility In Alexandria
Inova officials marked the topping out of its new health facility in Oakville Triangle, which is expected to be complete later in 2024.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The new Inova Health Center at Alexandria's Oakville Triangle met a major construction milestone Wednesday with the topping out of its building.
The topping out means the final structural beam has been placed on the Inova facility. Inova Oakville will be an emergency and outpatient health care facility serving Alexandria, including the growing Potomac Yard neighborhood. Completion is expected in fall 2024.
"This is an exciting day for Inova, as we move one step closer to opening our new Health Center," said J. Stephen Jones, the president and CEO of Inova Health System. "We want to thank DPR Construction and the entire team for their hard work and dedication in bringing this project to life. We look forward to the day when we can welcome patients and their families to our new facility."

Inova's health facility is part of a developer Stonebridge's plan to turn Oakville Triangle from a largely industrial area to a 1 million-square-foot development between Richmond Highway and Mt. Jefferson Park. Plans include a 95,000-square-foot Inova ambulatory care center, 84 townhouses to be developed by Tri-Pointe Homes, a 103,000-square-foot renovated self storage building, 571 multifamily units and 37,000 square feet of retail along Richmond Highway.
Inova's facility will have a full-service emergency room, outpatient surgery, imaging services, primary care and medical offices. The health system intends for the facility to complement the existing Inova Alexandria Hospital, which will be relocated from Seminary Road as part of a redevelopment of the former Landmark Mall.
