Nightmare On The Avenue In Del Ray Opens For Halloween Season
Del Ray's pop-up bar has transitioned to a Halloween concept called Nightmare on the Avenue.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Del Ray residents can head to Mount Vernon Avenue for some scary fun during the Halloween season.
The Del Ray pop-up bar at 2312 Mount Vernon Avenue opened its Halloween-themed Nightmare on the Avenue concept last Friday. Guests can expect spooky food and drink options on the menu.
A few drink highlights include the Death by Youngblood with Cruzan coconut rum, peach liqueur, pomegranate, cherry, lime and LED light-up cube; Pumpkin Royale with Stoli vanilla vodka, Rumchata pumpkin spice, cinnamon cayenne simple, and cinnamon sugar rim; and Hypodermic G&T with Botanist gin, tonic water, and syringe of Aperol. Beers and wines are also available.

A few of the food options are the Nightmare Nachos with pulled pork or chicken; Tombstone Tater Wedges with a sour cream dip; and Devilish Eggs with a "spooky twist."
Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays and 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It is closed on Mondays.

The bar is owned by HomeGrown Restaurant Group, the group behind Pork Barrel BBQ and Holy Cow next door as well as Sweet Fire Donna's, Tequila & Taco and Whiskey & Oyster. The pop-up bar previously hosted a Miami Vibes concept and other concepts like Bartanical, and Christmas-themed Joy on the Avenue.
