Pedestrian Injured In Crash On Mount Vernon Avenue In Del Ray
One pedestrian went to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle at Mount Vernon Avenue and E. Monroe Avenue.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A pedestrian was injured in a Del Ray crash Wednesday morning, according to Alexandria Police.
The crash happened around 9:37 a.m. at E. Monroe Avenue and Mount Vernon Avenue. Based on preliminary investigations, police believe the pedestrian was struck while walking southbound in a crosswalk on Mount Vernon Avenue. The striking vehicle was making a left turn onto E. Monroe Avenue.
The victim, a 58-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver, a 57-year-old woman, remained on the scene.
