Person's 'Sudden Death' Under Investigation By Alexandria Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria police are investigating the "sudden death" of a person that happened Friday at a home on East Reed Avenue.

According to police, officers were called to the home around 2:50 p.m.

Authorities said a person was taken into custody in connection with the death and charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Police did not release the identity of the victim or the person arrested.

The medical examiner will determine the person's cause of death, police said.
