Police Reports: Assaults, Thefts in the Del Ray Area
The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Del Ray, Rosemont and Arlandria areas of Alexandria.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.
July 12 – A burglary/breaking and entering was reported at 8:42 a.m. in the 100 block of East Luray Avenue.
July 11 – An assault was reported at 2:54 p.m. in the 3200 block of Landover Street. An arrest was made.

July 10 – An arrest was made in relation to embezzlement charges in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.
July 10 – Destruction of property was reported at 9:25 a.m. in the 100 block of East Del Ray Avenue.

July 9 – A larceny was reported at 11:37 a.m. in the 3400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.
July 9 – Destruction of property was reported at 3:44 p.m. in the 3800 block of Russell Road.
July 8 – A larceny or theft and destruction of property were reported at 10:17 a.m. in the 2300 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
July 8 – A larceny or theft was reported at 4:35 p.m. in the 3800 block of Elbert Avenue.
July 8 – A person reported that an unknown suspect used personal credit card information to make fraudulent purchases. The report was made at 11:08 a.m. in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.
July 8 – A burglary/breaking and entering was reported at 8:19 p.m. in the 200 block of East Glendale Avenue. Destruction of property was also reported.
July 7 – A burglary/breaking and entering was reported at 2:51 a.m. in the 3400 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
July 7 – An arrest was made for a drug offense at 4:43 p.m. in the 3800 block of Russell Road. The suspect was charged with possession of cocaine.
