Rubia's Tacos Prepares To Launch Dinner In Del Ray

Rubia's, the taco-centric replacement for Stomping Ground, has been open for brunch and will soon have dinner offerings.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Del Ray residents will soon be able to get their taco fix from Rubia's Tacos during later hours.

Rubia's Tacos, which Chef Nicole Jones opened before summer as the replacement to Stomping Ground, is set to introduce dinner service on Tuesday, Sept. 19. The restaurant at 2309 Mt Vernon Ave., Alexandria, VA has been operating with brunch offerings.

Brunch offerings include a selection of tacos, breakfast burrito, quesadillas, salads, pastries, café drinks and more. Online ordering is available.

Even before dinner service launches, margaritas are now an offering at Rubia's, the restaurant announced.

Until dinner service starts, hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The former Stomping Ground closed in April before the concept transitioned to Rubia's Tacos. Jones also owns the adjacent Bagel Uprising in Del Ray and Old Town's new Virginia's Darling and Mae's Market & Cafe.
