Sudden Death Reclassified As Homicide In Alexandria, Suspect Charged
A suspect has been charged in a homicide on East Reed Avenue in Alexandria on Friday, according to police.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The sudden death incident on East Reed Avenue in Alexandria Friday has been reclassified as a homcide, according to Alexandria Police.
Police had responded around 2:50 p.m. Friday to the unit block of East Reed Avenue, which is in the Lynhaven neighborhood. No details were provided on how the incident unfolded, but police arrested the suspect on scene.
Police later identified the suspect as Junior Espinal Calix, 19, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter.

The victim was identified as Nabel Chávez, 21.
