Virginia Trooper Shooting Suspect Identified by Police
Virginia State Police have identified the gunman in Thursday's fatal shooting of a state trooper as James Brown III of Aurora, IL. People across the country are mourning the death of Chad P. Dermyer, the Virginia state trooper who was shot Thursday afternoon at a Greyhound bus station in Richmond. Dermyer and the gunman died Thursday at VCU Medical Center. >>> Read more here

CIA Confirms Explosive Training Material was Left on Ashburn School Bus
An explosive material used by area law enforcement agencies in a Central Intelligence Agency training exercise was mistakenly left inside a Loudoun County Public Schools school bus, authorities said. During spring break week, numerous law enforcement agencies took part in joint canine training led by the CIA at Briar Woods High School in Ashburn. >>>Read more here
Police Investigating Homicide in Alexandria
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating its first homicide of 2016. On Tuesday night, at approximately 9:33 p.m., officers responded to the area for an assault. The victim was located by police, conscious but injured, police said. >>>Read more here
