First Night Alexandria With 2 Fireworks Shows, More Planned For New Year's Eve

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria will continue to have one of the region's largest New Year's Eve celebrations with the return of First Night Alexandria to ring in 2026.

First Night Alexandria will take place throughout the day on Dec. 31, bringing live performances of live music, dance, comedy, and interactive art, DJs and fireworks at two times.

Festivities start from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the George Washington Masonic Memorial. The Little Theatre of Alexandria will have its performance from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the Carlyle Park Stage will bring other performances from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Head to Market Square from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Washington Street United Methodist Church from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for more performances. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Westin Hotel Carlyle Trademark Restaurant, American Legion Post 24 and The Lyceum will host performances.

At the waterfront, there will be a DJ from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Dream City Bass performance from 10 p.m. to 11:55 p.m. and fireworks shows at 7:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. The midnight show includes a countdown.
