Woman Gives Birth on the Side of Beltway
Fairfax County officials helped deliver the baby inside an ambulance early Friday morning.
A Virginia couple welcomed their new baby girl into the world early Friday morning… on the side of the road.
Police say that the woman didn’t feel like her baby could wait to get to the hospital. According to WTOP, emergency responders arrived to the Outer Loop of the Beltway just before the Gallows Road exit just before 3 a.m. Friday.

The unidentified new mother was put into the ambulance, according to NBC Washington, where medics helped deliver her healthy daughter.
The mother and baby were brought to the Inova Fairfax Hospital where they are both doing well, according to reports.
