11th District Democrats Host Primary In House Of Delegates Race

Here's what to know about the Democratic Party's unassembled caucus on Tuesday in the 11th House of Delegates District.

FAIRFAX, VA — On Saturday, the candidate filing period closed for the Democratic Party's unassembled caucus set for Tuesday in the 11th House of Delegates District race.

Five Democrats are competing to be their party's candidate on the ballot in the Jan. 13, 2026 special election:

Voting will take place Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three polling locations in the Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax:

  • Fairfax County Government Center: 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035
  • Fairfax Presbyterian Church: 10723 Main St., Fairfax, VA 22030
  • Jim Scott Community Center: 3001 Vaden Drive, Fairfax, VA 22031

Both the city and county Democratic Party Committees will be hosting a candidate forum on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 to 4 p.m., at Mackenzie's Tunes & Tonics, 3950 University Drive, Fairfax.

The 11th District seat became vacant when David Bulova stepped down to become Governor-Elect Abigail Spanberger's nominee as the next Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources.
