Mason Crime Alert: Man Punches Woman in Face, Steals Her Cellphone

UPDATE (April 18): Connect2Mason.com reports that the suspect punched a female Chick-fil-A employee in the face Tuesday morning. He also tried to take a bag of cash receipts the woman was carrying to deposit at a bank in the Johnson Center. Somehow he was only able to steal the woman's cellphone. The attack occurred near Harris Theatre, according to Mason police.

ORIGINAL: Police are looking for a man who committed an assault and robbery at George Mason University's Fairfax campus, according to a GMU alert.

"An assault and robbery has occurred on the George Mason University Fairfax Campus.  No weapons were used in this crime.  The suspect has not been apprehended. All indications suggest that the suspect has left campus, however Police are looking for a individual fitting the following description: 20-25 year old black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, approximately 150 pounds, black hair (dreadlocks), light facial hair, last seen wearing a gray shirt and black pants riding a green and black bicycle.  If you have any information about this crime or the whereabouts of the suspect, contact University Police at (703) 993-2810."
