Commonwealth Brewing Co. Boasts 48+ Beers On Tap: Restaurant Week

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax City businesses really work well to collaborate with one another, according to Kristina Marincheva, the social media and events manager at Commonwealth Brewing Company in Old Town.

An example of this collaboration is Fairfax City Restaurant week, which runs through Sunday, March 2. Commonwealth is one of the 32 city food establishments participating this year.

Restaurant week is also a collaboration with three of the city’s business-focused organizations: Fairfax City Economic Development Authority, Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce and the Old Town Fairfax Business Association.

Patch reached out to several of the food establishments that are offering lunchtime deals during restaurant week. We’ve already heard from The Auld Shebeen, Big Buns Fairfax, and Ornery Beer Company.

What lunch specials will you be offering during restaurant week?

“First Course, Arugula Salad with Shaved Parmesan, and Lemon Vinaigrette. Second Course,

"Thin-sliced Filet Mignon, Caramelized Onions, and Provolone Cheese on a Hoagie Roll served with House-Made Au Jus and Shoe-String Truffle Parmesan Fries."

Some patrons may not have visited your restaurant before. What do you want them to know about your restaurant? What is your specialty and what are you most proud of?

“We have over 48 taps! We make every single beer on tap, with new releases every single Tuesday.”

What do you like about being a business owner in Fairfax City?

“All of the small businesses in Fairfax City really work well to collaborate with one another and to create fun filled events for the community. Commonwealth hosts artisan and themed markets about once a month.”
