Route 50 Ramp Reopens At I-66 In Fair Oaks Following Earlier Crash

The I-66 eastbound ramp to eastbound Route 50 in Fair Oaks reopened to traffic Friday after police completed investigating the crash scene.

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County Police reopened the I-66 eastbound ramp to eastbound Route 50 to traffic on Friday, around 3:27 p.m., after detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit finished their investigation.

Police were on the scene of a two-vehicle crash Friday around 11:42 a.m. on Route 50 near I-66. One patient with life-threatening injuries was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to police.

The ramp was closed for several hours to allow police to investigate the crash scene.
