VDOT To Close I-66 Express Ramps At Stringfellow Road In Fair Lakes Overnight This Weekend
VDOT will be closing Stringfellow Road under I-66 down to one lane of traffic overnight this weekend in Fair Lakes.

FAIRFAX, VA — In order to install noise walls, Virginia Department of Transportation workers will be closing lanes in each direction on Stringfellow Road under I-66 overnight this weekend. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
Overnight on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15, workers will alternate the opening and closing of the two lanes of northbound and southbound traffic based on construction progress, according to a VDOT release.
In addition, the two ramps from Stringfellow Road to the I-66 Express lanes will also be closed, as will the ramp from the westbound I-66 Express lanes to Stringfellow Road, according to the release.

Friday April 14, and Saturday, April 15
- The roadwork will impact both directions of Stringfellow Road between Fair Lakes Boulevard and Westbrook Drive/Village Square Drive.
- From 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., Stringfellow Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction.
- Depending on the progress of construction, two-way traffic will alternate in the northbound and southbound lanes overnight.
- Ramps from Stringfellow Road to the eastbound I-66 Express lanes and from westbound I-66 Express to Stringfellow Road will also be closed from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- All lanes will reopen for traffic by 7 a.m.
The construction work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if work is canceled due to inclement conditions.
