Fairfax Festival of Lights and Carols Saturday

Join the City of Fairfax for the annual Festival of Lights and Carols Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center.
Reservations are still available for children ages 10 and under to enjoy “Lunch with Santa.” Three lunch seating will be offered hourly from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are available for $8 per child (limit of 10 tickets per person) at the Parks and Recreation offices at City Hall, Green Acres Center, and Stacey C. Sherwood Center.
Enjoy s’mores and hot cider from 12 to 7 p.m. while listening to live holiday music at the Civic Green outside of Sherwood. Events include:

12 p.m. - Performance by Daniels Run Singers from Daniels Run Elementary School (Civic Green)
1 p.m. - Performance by Sophia Music Studio (Civic Green)

2:30 p.m. - Performance by Girl Scout Service Unit 55-6 (Civic Green)
3 to 5 p.m. - Visits with Santa
3 to 5:30 p.m. - Performances by Sidney Lanier Middle School Chamber Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Chorus (Sherwood Community Center)
3:30 p.m. - Performance by Fairfax Choral Society Youth Chorus’ (Civic Green)
5 p.m. - Performances by The Good News Ringers from Centreville United Methodist Church (Civic Green)
5:30 to 6 p.m. - Caroling with the Jubil-Aires, the Good News Ringers and Lighting of the Christmas tree (Civic Green)
7:30 p.m. - A Celtic Christmas with Síor-Óg - Adults $5.00 and Children 12 and under free. (Sherwood Community Center)
