J. Crew Factory Brings Signature Style At A Discount To Fair City Mall
Since its opening on Feb. 13, J. Crew Factory in Fair City Mall has seen a steady influx of customers, according to the store director.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Mayor Catherine Read joined local business leaders for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday to welcome the new J.Crew Factory store to Fairfax City Mall.
“This is the kind of retail people in our city really want,” Read said. “The death of the malls has made it different from how people shop for clothing like this. Having a place in the city where people can come, especially Fair City Mall, because Fairfax City Mall has such a diversity of businesses, this is a place where people can come for one thing and discover that they’ve got a shop like this with very high-end clothing.”
Since its opening on Feb. 13, the J. Crew Factory store at 9650-42 Main St. has already seen a steady influx of customers, according to store director Helen Hajibadri.

“There is no special retailer like us around the center that has a store like ours that is at an outlet discounted price,” store director Helen Hajibadri said. “Our customers constantly come in here looking for a variety of different clothing that they can't find at the big retailers, such as Marshalls and TJ Maxx. That is what is appealing to our guests.”
The Fairfax City Mall store is the third J. Crew Factory opened near the city over the last year. The other two are located in Fair Lakes and Pike 7 Plaza in Tysons.
