FAIRFAX CITY, VA — During Wednesday's testimony in his libel lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, actor Johnny Depp claimed the actress defecated in their bed after he said he was leaving her, according to a report. Heard, however, blamed it on her dogs.

Depp’s lawsuit against Heard alleges that she falsely portrayed him as a domestic abuser and ruined his lucrative acting career after she wrote a 2018 op-ed piece in The Washington Post, referring to herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse."

Heard has denied the allegations and countersued, according to a Business Insider report, describing in court at least 10 instances in which she says Depp physically abused her, often in what she described were alcohol- or drug-fueled rages.

Depp has been on the stand in Fairfax County Circuit Court since Tuesday afternoon. The actor has spent significant time describing the couple's volatile relationship and denying that he ever abused Heard.

"My initial response to that was, I laughed," Depp said as he described his reaction to finding the feces in their bed, Business Insider reported. "It was so outside, it was so bizarre and so grotesque that I could only laugh."

On the stand Wednesday, Depp said the incident happened after a fight following Heard's 30th birthday celebration.

On Thursday, Heard's attorneys sought to undermine Depp’s lawsuit by spending hours in court focused on the actor's drinking, drug use and texts he sent to friends — including one about wanting to kill and defile his then-wife.

Heard lawyer J. Benjamin Rottenborn focused on a 2013 exchange between Depp and actor Paul Bettany in which Depp wrote: "Let’s burn Amber!!!"

Bettany responded: "Having thought it through I don’t think we should burn Amber."

Meanwhile, Depp continued: "Let’s drown her before we burn her!!! I will (expletive) her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she’s dead."
