Lunch For 2 For $25 Restaurant Week Special At Big Buns Fairfax

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax City Restaurant Week kicked off Monday with 32 restaurants offering special menus and deals for brunch, lunch and dinner.
The Fairfax City Economic Development Authority, Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce and the Old Town Fairfax Business Association teamed up to sponsor the eighth annual Fairfax City Restaurant Week, which runs through Sunday, March 2.
Patch reached out to several of the restaurants offering lunchtime deals during restaurant week. On Monday, Randy Barnette of Ornery Beer Company shared what was on the lunch menu of his brewpub this week. Now it's Thompson Restaurants' turn to be in the spotlight.

Although many Fairfax City diners may not be familiar with Thompson Restaurants, some may already have eaten at one of the company’s many locations around the DMV.
A Reston-based, minority-owned hospitality company, Thompson Restaurants operates Wiseguy Pizza, Makers Union, Hen Quarter Prime, The Delegate, Social House Kitchen & Tap, The Rub Chicken & Beer, and Locals Tacos & Tequila.

Thompson also operates two restaurants in Fairfax City — Milk & Honey Southern Inspired Kitchen and Big Buns Fairfax.
Emily Anderson, associate brand manager at Thompson, answered our questions about what Big Buns Fairfax is doing to celebrate Fairfax City Restaurant Week.

What lunch specials will you offer during restaurant week?
“Big Buns in Fairfax is offering Lunch for Two for $25: 1 Classic Burger, 1 Fricken Good Fried Chicken, 2 Regular Fries.”
Some patrons may not have visited your restaurant before. What do you want them to know about your restaurant? What is your specialty and what are you most proud of?
“Big Buns is inspired by a true love for burgers, and the belief that eating out, in, or on-the-go, should feel like a fun backyard party with delicious food, ice-cold drinks and good friends. Our burgers and shakes are big and made to order with the freshest ingredients. Grab your drinking buddy and join us for happy hour. Enjoy $1 off shakes plus boozy shakes and $2 off beer, wine and cocktails seven days a week from 3-6 p.m., when you order from our main counter or outdoor patio.”

What do you like about being a business owner in Fairfax City?
“We love Fairfax. Big Buns Fairfax is located in Point 50 shopping center on Fairfax Blvd. Our seventh Big Buns has a dog-friendly patio, several local beers and adult beverages on tap and two curbside parking spots right out front, making carryout a breeze."
