Man Arrested After Assaulting Two Cops In Fairfax: Police

A man suspected of possible larceny was arrested Thursday after assaulting two officers in a Fairfax neighborhood, say Fairfax Police.

FAIRFAX, VA—A man suspected of possible larceny was arrested Thursday after assaulting two officers in the 9400 block of Fairfax Boulevard, according to Fairfax Police. Elias Bouazer, 20, of the 1500 block of Twisted Oak Drive in Reston, was charged with two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, larceny and drunk in public. He was held without bond.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., police went to the area for a report of a man "knocking on doors and checking door knobs." Police found that a possible larceny had occurred, and also that Bouazer, 20, was intoxicated. While they were trying to detain him, he assaulted two officers before being taken to jail.
