Blazin Chicken & Gyro Opens 2nd Location In NoVA
New restaurant specializes in serving chicken, burgers and gyros made with authentic halal ingredients.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Something's going on in the Kamp Washington neighborhood of Fairfax City. Another new restaurant has opened.
Blazin Chicken & Gyro, which specializes in serving hot chicken, burgers, sandwiches and gyros made with authentic halal ingredients, opened its doors Saturday at 11011 Main St. in the Westbriar Center.
Steve and Mo John, who grew up learning to cook halal food in their grandfather’s restaurant in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City, founded their first Blazin Chicken & Gyro restaurant in 2020. The company now has nine franchise locations, including one in Tysons Station at 7502 Leesburg Pike.

“At Blazin Chicken & Gyro, we believe that great food isn’t just about eating — it’s about an experience, a moment, and a connection,” according to the company’s website. “Founded with a passion for fresh ingredients and bold flavors, Blazin Chicken & Gyro was born to bring you an unforgettable Mediterranean-inspired dining experience with a modern twist. From the first bite to the last, we want each visit to feel like a celebration of flavor and quality.”
Blazin’s Fairfax City location is open seven days a week from 10 a.m.-3 a.m. and takes orders for carryout and delivery by Uber Eats, Doordash and Grubhub.

Blazin Chicken & Gyro is the latest restaurant to open in the Kamp Washington neighborhood in recent months. Its neighbors in the Westbriar Center include The Alley, a boba tea restaurant that began serving customers last November, and Haraz Coffee House, which opened its doors on April 13.

In June, Fairfax Economic Development and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sushi Friends Hashi at the corner of Jermantown Road and Route 29.
Three restaurants will be opening at the Kamp Washington Shopping Center on the other side of Main Street. California Fish Grill Casual Kitchen, which specializes in fresh, sustainable seafood, will occupy the space vacated by Mod Pizza at 11048 Main St. In addition, the former home of Just Tires is being refitted for a Shake Shack and Tatte Bakery & Cafe.
