Ornery Beer Co. Features $5 For First Beer On Restaurant Week Menus

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax City Restaurant Week kicked off on Monday and runs through Sunday, March 2.

While this may be a great opportunity to check out that local bistro you’ve been eyeing or to enjoy a romantic dinner, many of the 32 participating restaurants are offering deals for the lunchtime crowd. Patch reached out to those restaurants to see what specials they are planning for brunch and lunch this week.

Randy Barnette, CEO and founder of Ornery Beer Company, told Patch that guests ordering from both of the brewpub’s Restaurant Week lunch and dinner menus will be able to purchase their first Ornery beer for $5.

What lunch specials will you offer during restaurant week?

“For RW Lunch, we are encouraging our guests to enjoy nearly our whole menu. The appetizers highlight our unique apps core to our company. The lunch entrees allow guests to choose from any handheld, pizza, or salad along with select lunch portioned entrees.”

For those who may not be familiar with Ornery, what do you want newcomers to know about what your restaurant offers?

“We want our guests to know that both our beer and our restaurant menu are all scratch. We are proud of the award-winning beer we make, as well as the chef’s menu that has elevated us to NOVA Magazine’s Best Brewpub multiple times. Everything we create is fresh and from scratch — from our hand-cut fries to our local stuffed Chesapeake rockfish. Our only freezer is a small chest freezer for ice cream and such.”

What do you like about being a business owner in Fairfax City?

“As a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, growing up in Herndon and going to George Mason, I am proud to be a part of the Fairfax City community. Our little slice of Mayberry in the middle of bustling Northern Virginia / DC.”
