Public Meeting on Bruin Park Master Plan Revision Dec. 1

The Fairfax County Park Authority will hold a public meeting to discuss adding a community garden to Bruin Park Monday, Dec. 1.

The Fairfax County Park Authority is holding a Public Comment Meeting Dec. 1 to gather public input on the draft master plan revision for Bruin Park in Herndon.

Bruin Park, owned by the Town of Herndon but operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority, was originally master planned in 1966. The site includes tennis courts, a basketball court, an open play area, a picnic shelter, on-site parking, a playground and a trail network connects the park with adjacent communities on Virginia Avenue.

Herndon Environmental Network (HEN), a local nonprofit, has proposed building and maintaining a community garden adjacent to the existing tennis courts at Bruin Park.
