SNOW!

Fairfax County Public Schools and George Mason University open late this morning.

Fairfax City students woke up to a white front lawn and a two-hour Fairfax County Public Schools and George Mason University delay Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until 9 a.m. NWS said Fairfax could see about an inch of snow, enough to make for a messy morning commute, as well as temperatures in the teens to lower 20s.

Drivers should take it slow, leave plenty of room between their vehicle and surrounding traffic, and be aware of slippery roads and low visibility as they make their way to work.
