Teen Hides in CVS, Allegedly to Steal from Pharmacy: Police

The 16-year old boy was found in the store after closing and had forced his way into the pharmacy, police said.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- A 16-year old Fairfax City boy is in trouble after he was found hiding in a local CVS store Wednesday night after-hours, allegedly trying to steal from the pharmacy, police said.

The details, in the Thursday Fairfax City Police crime bulletin, show that an employee at the CVS at 10390 Willard Way contacted police shortly before 10:22 p.m., reporting a suspicious individual in the store around closing time. Responding officers located the teen hiding at the rear of the store, according to police.

Investigation revealed that the teen had hidden in the store after it closed, and then forced his way into the pharmacy area to steal medications, according to police. Police did not elaborate on what type of medications the boy was reportedly trying to find.

The boy was released to the custody of his father, after a juvenile petition was obtained charging him with burglary, police said.
