Trump Signs Replace Missing Harris-Walz Signs At Polls: City Dems
Fairfax City Police are investigating the theft of Harris-Walz signs outside City Hall on Friday morning.

Update (11:35 p.m.) A quote attributed to one of the candidates running for a city office was removed from this story at the request of the candidate.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — When Mayor Catherine Read and a member of the City of Fairfax Democratic Committee arrived at City Hall around 7:35 a.m. on Friday, they discovered that someone had removed campaign signs they'd placed outside the polls on Thursday.
Instead of finding light blue signs touting the Democratic ticket of Harris/Walz, they found a long line of dark blue Trump signs running along the sidewalk leading to City Hall. Their signs had either been moved or removed.

"Our city has not encountered a situation like this that anyone can recall," Read said, whose campaign was endorsed by the City Dems. "It's reflection of the candidate and the party he represents that this type of action is seen as acceptable. We will look into creating an ordinance to address this for future elections."
