Turkey Trot 5K Road Closures for Thanksgiving Day

A Turkey Trot 5K race beginning at 9 a.m. may cause road delays on University Drive and George Mason Drive Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 27.

The City of Fairfax Fire Department Benevolent Fund will host a Turkey Trot 5K race Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 27 beginning at 9 a.m.

The event, which is expected to last about an hour, will begin and end just south of Fire Station No. 3 on University Drive and will enter the GMU campus.

Though University Drive and George Mason Boulevard will remain open, one lane of University Drive and George Mason Drive (northbound lane closest to the curb) will be closed to traffic from Fire Station No. 3 to University Drive at the GMU campus entrance. Only southbound lanes on George Mason Boulevard will be open to vehicular traffic.
