Two Charged in Child Pornography Case Involving 16-Year Old Victim, Police Say

Fairfax City Police say that charges stem from incident that took place at a party last summer at a home in Fairfax City.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Two people face charges of producing child pornography and other related charges after an incident involving a 16-year old victim last summer at a party on Maple Street, according to Fairfax City Police.

Police say their Criminal Investigations Division investigated an incident involving a 16-year old victim, which they say took place August 6 at the residence of Andre Alvarado, 26, of 10634 Maple St. in Fairfax City.

Alvarado, in addition to facing charges of producing child pornography, is also facing charges of possession of child pornography, police said.

Police say that in addition to Alvarado, another person involved with the incident is also facing charges. Angela Sourmany, 21, of 10507 Miller Road in Oakton, was also charged with production of child pornography and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The offenses occurred when the 16 year-old victim, who was an acquaintance of the suspects, attended a party at Alvarado’s residence, police said.

On Wednesday, arrest warrants were served on Alvarado at the Adult Detention Center and he was ordered held without bond. Sourmany was taken into custody Wednesday in Frederick, Md., and extradition to Fairfax was pending, according to police.
