VA Election: Early Voting Ends Oct. 30 In Fairfax City
As the Nov. 2 election approaches, in-person early voting will be available through the end of the week in Fairfax City.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — With Virginia's Nov. 2 general election less than a week away, in-person early voting will be available through the end of the week in Fairfax City.
Fairfax City residents can vote early at Fairfax City Hall at 10455 Armstrong Street. Voters should enter through the Atrium entrance closest to George Mason Blvd. A staff member will direct voters to the voting room. No appointments are required.
Hours for early voting at city hall are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 30.

To vote in person, an acceptable form of ID is required, but it is no longer required to be a photo ID. Examples of accepted ID include a Virginia driver's license, DMV-issued ID, U.S. passport, current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck and more.
Those who are voting by mail must return the mail-in ballot by 5 p.m. on Nov. 2, Election Day, in person or have it postmarked by Nov. 2 and received by noon on Nov. 5. As an alternative to mail, ballots can be dropped off at a secure 24-hour ballot drop box located by the Atrium entrance closest to George Mason Blvd. The ballot should be returned in the envelope provided.

A witness signature is required for by-mail absentee ballots. Anyone can serve as a witness.
Those voting in person on Election Day can visit their polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters in line by 7 p.m. will be able to vote. Check your polling place on the Virginia Department of Elections online portal, or see precinct maps from the City of Fairfax Office of Elections.
Fairfax City voters will be deciding races for Virginia governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, Virginia House of Delegates, commissioner of revenue, and treasurer.
