Waples Mill Road Reopens In Fairfax Following Demonstration: Police

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County Police reported around 4:30 p.m., that Waples Mill Road between Pender Drive and the I-66 overpass in Fairfax had reopened to traffic.

Police were on the scene around 2:58 p.m., in the 11200 block of Waples Mill Road, for a demonstration. They closed the road between Pender Drive and the I-66 overpass. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Now that the roadway has reopened, motorists do not have to avoid the area.
