Water Main Break on Old Lee Highway

Classes will resume at The Sherwood Center after 5 p.m. today. Parks and Recreation sponsored activities at Daniels Run Elementary School are canceled.

Update, 12:27 p.m.:

The following message was provided by the City of Fairfax:

With immediate effect The Sherwood Center is closed due to a water main break. All classes are canceled until 5pm.  The commencement of Classes after 5pm will be determined on water main repairs. A further eMAS will be sent after 3pm to update the situation. Alternatively please check the City website for updates on evening classes.

Parks & Recreation sponsored after-school programs at Daniels Run Elementary School will be canceled today.

The City of Fairfax sent out the following alert message on Tuesday:

There is a water main break on Old Lee Highway near Van Dyck Park. Water will be shut off to that area around 11:30 am for 4-6 hours for repairs. More information:  www.fairfaxva.gov, 703-385-7920.
