What's Closed on MLK Day

Here's a quick list of what's closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan. 16).

• Fairfax City Government -- Closed.
• County Government – Closed.
• Courts – Closed. 
• Public Schools and School Offices – Closed.
• Library – Closed.
• CUE Bus -- Modified weekday schedule. Click here for information.
• Fairfax Connector – Operating holiday weekday service, except routes 335, 395, 585, 595, and 597, which will not operate.
• Fastran – Not in service.
• Park Authority – RECenters open on regular schedules. Nature centers, historic sites and Green Spring Gardens will be closed. Frying Pan Farm Park will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; visitor center open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Teen and Senior Centers – Closed.
• Community Centers – Closed.
• Fairfax City Trash and Recycling Collection -- No collection. Place items at curb on Tuesday. Call 703-385-7837 for information.
• County Trash and Recycling Collection – Regular collection.
• Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill Complex – Open.
• Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center -- Open.
