Artists Work To Shine With New 'Luminous' Exhibit At Falls Church Arts
Falls Church Arts is preparing to open its next exhibit, which will be free to visit during an opening reception and gallery hours.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Artists have the chance to shine when their art is on display for the next Falls Church Arts exhibit starting Saturday.
The all-media exhibit called "Luminous" will feature 52 works from 48 artists, which were chosen from 259 works from 107 artists. The theme was chosen by Falls Church Arts social media followers through a bracket-style elimination. The exhibit will run from Aug. 19 to Oct. 1.
"This collection of art positively gleams," said juror Tara Barr, who selected the works for the show. "I hope you’ll stand in the gallery and quietly take in the brilliant radiance around you. While all the pieces in this show depict or represent light in all its various meanings, there are a few pieces here that literally glow."
