Falls Church Festival To Feature Restaurant Tastes, Rides, More

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The Falls Church Festival, an entertainment highlight in the Little City, will return in 2023 amid the city's 75th anniversary celebration.

The 47th annual Falls Church Festival will be held on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on City Hall and Community Center Grounds, 300 Park Avenue, Falls Church, VA. The event will include the Taste of Falls Church, a beer garden, live music, children's entertainment, and vendor booths featuring local crafters, businesses and civic organizations.

The event will happen rain or shine. Admission is free, but food, drinks and children's entertainment come with a cost.

A popular feature of the festival is the Taste of Falls Church, which involves local restaurants offering tastes to compete for the judges' choice and people's choice awards. The public can typically vote for the people's choice awards.

Participating restaurants are: Hot N Juicy Crawfish, Harvey's, Taco Rock, Thompson Italian, Taco Bamba, Rare Bird Coffee Roasters, Cafe Kindred, Audacious Aleworks, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Baddpizza, Clare and Don's, Open Road, Solace Outpost, One 1ea Taiwanese Cafe, and Taim Mediterranean Kitchen.

Along with tastes, a beer garden will provide alcoholic beverages with returning sponsor ROCK STAR Realty Group, KW Metro Center.

Taste tickets for food and beer will be $3 each.

For the kids, entertainment will include pony rides, inflatable bounce houses, children's rides, crafts, and the children's entertainment stage.

Live music for all ages will also be held at the event. Stay tuned for the announcement of the live music schedule.

One special occasion this year at the festival is the City of Falls Church's 75th anniversary. The anniversary celebration kicked off Aug. 16 and will run through Aug. 31, 2024 with special events and programs. At the Falls Church Festival, the anniversary kickoff will be held with an anniversary logo unveiling.
