It's hump day!

  1. The Architectural Advisory Board meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. has been canceled.
  2. Kids ages 6 to 11-years-old can excavate with tools like a real archaeologist uses to find a scarab, hieroglyphic tablet, ankh symbol and jackal. Class runs from Nov. 10 through Nov 11. For more information, click here.
  3. On this day in 1962, President John F. Kennedy announced Cuban missile bases were being dismantled.
  4. On this day in 2010, U.S. voters go to the polls; Republicans win control of the House of Representatives with the largest number of seats gained since 1894.
  5. If today is your birthday, you share it with explorer Daniel Boone (277-years-old) and singer k.d. lang (50-years-old). Happy birthday!
