1. The 23rd Annual Fall Cleanup for the City of Falls Church will be held rain or shine on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. All volunteers will be treated to a picnic lunch after the cleanup! Please register by calling 703-248-5176 (TTY 711).

3. On this day in 1977, Muhammad Ali beats Earnie Shavers in 15 for heavyweight boxing title.
4. On this day in 2010, the U.S. House of Representatives imposes trade sanctions against China, which is believed to be undervaluing the yuan.
5. If today is your birthday, you share it with comedian Andrew “Dice” Clay (54-years-old) and sports caster Bryant Gumbel (63-years-old). Happy birthday!
