VIRGINIA — July 4 in Northern Virginia and DC means it’s time to break out the grills, lemonade and sparklers for a festive Fourth of July barbecue.

But, like all gatherings, the host is bound to forget something. Whether you’re short of a package of buns or forgot to grab your favorite deli salad, plenty of grocery stores are open in Northern Virginia and DC for those last-minute items.
