Marshall High Band Uniform Fundraiser Goal: $75,000

Members of the Marshall High School Band (they march in the Vienna Halloween Parade as well as the Falls Church Memorial Day Parade), will be out in force Saturday selling raffle tickets to raise money for new uniforms.

Uniforms are expensive, organizers of the fundraiser point out, with just one uniform costing $585. They plan to purchase 128 uniforms and need to raise $75,000. The new uniforms will be light blue and black.

Members of the band, a Virginia Honor Band the past three years, have been wearing the same uniforms the past 11 years.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each or five tickets for $20. Here's what you can win:

The drawing is June 8. Winners will be contacted. You do NOT need to be present to win, organizers point out.
