
Musical About Edgar Allan Poe Open’s Friday
On Oct. 7, 1849, Edgar Allan Poe died and on that date this year, Nevermore, a musical detailing his life will open at in the City of Falls Church. This is the 10th anniversary of the musical. The production will run through October 30 at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 South Maple Avenue. Performances are Fridays at 8:00pm Saturdays at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Sundays at 4:00 pm.
Tickets are $20. $5 of every ticket sold that night will benefit The Poe House in Baltimore.

General Dynamics Antennas Installed in Chilean Observatory
Falls Church-based General Dynamics announced Monday that 13 of their 12-meter antennas have been installed in the Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimeter Array astronomical observatory in Chile. The antennas help form part of an 11-mile-wide international astronomy project. Scientists will use the observatory to study portions of the universe once the project is completed in 2013.
Rep. Gerry Connolly Set to Speak at Fairfax Partnership for Youth Summit
Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA) will serve as the keynote speaker at the Fairfax Partnership for Youth Summit on Nov. 10 at the in Falls Church.
The summit will go from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event is free to the public. A light lunch will be served, and space is limited. To register, go to www.fairfaxyouth.org.
