Showers Could Dampen Falls Church Easter Egg Hunt

Rain could move Easter Egg Hunt to Monday.

A decision to cancel or not to cancel the City of Falls Church annual Easter Egg Hunt will be made by 8:30 a.m. Saturday, said Daniel Schlitt, director of Department of Parks and Recreation.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance of rain in Falls Church. Thunderstorms are likely later in the afternoon, according to the NWS.

“Based on what we see coming, we probably won’t get it in,” Schlitt said Friday during a telephone interview. “If we have standing water in the morning, we won’t do it.”
