Snow Prompts Falls Church Schools To Modify Schedule On Jan. 16
Falls Church City Public Schools will be operating on a modified schedule on Tuesday due to inclement weather.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Falls Church City Public Schools and central offices will be closed on Tuesday due to inclement weather. All in-person activities are cancelled, including extended day care.
Meanwhile, City of Falls Church government will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. City government employees will have an unscheduled leave policy when checking with a supervisor.
Much of the DC region is now under a winter storm warning through 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters expect heavy snow that could change to light freezing rain or freezing drizzle toward morning in the Interstate 95 corridor. Total snow accumulations between 4 to 6 inches plus a light glaze of ice are forecast.

The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute. Drivers should expect slippery road conditions.
