Tinner Hill Music Festival To Bring Rhythm And Food To Falls Church
The 28th Tinner Hill Music Festival, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, will deliver a full day of music, food, beer and fun.
FALLS CHURCH, VA — The 28th Tinner Hill Music Festival is returning to Cherry Hill Park in Falls Church on Saturday, with blues artist Marcia Ball and New Orleans' Grammy winners Rebirth Brass Band serving as the headliners.
The festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 11, will include craft beer, vendors and kids’ activities. Barbecue and other food, including kid-friendly and vegetarian options, will be available in the festival’s Food Village.
The Artists Village will showcase painters, photographers, and jewelers. The Kids Village will have face-painting and other activities.

Buy your tickets in advance for the Tinner Hill Music Festival and pay only $30. At the gate, tickets will cost $40. Students aged 12 to 22 can get in for only $10. Children 11 and under get in for free with a paying adult.
Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, which, along with the City of Falls Church, is sponsoring the event.

Here’s the music lineup:
- Rebirth Brass Band: The Grammy winning group excites fans with a fiery show paying homage to the New Orleans brass band tradition with jazz, funk, soul, R&B and more. (5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
- Marcia Ball: This Blues artist has won worldwide fame and countless fans for her ability to ignite a full-scale roadhouse party every time she takes the stage. (3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.)
- Dale and the ZDubs: DC's Rock n' Reggae band can be found opening for nationally touring groups. (2:20 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
- Carly Harvey's Kiss & Ride: We love DC's Queen of the Blues and her band and you will too. The DC Blues Society chose them to represent it at the annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis. (1:05 p.m. to 2:05 p.m.)
- Batala Washington: This award-winning, all-women, Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble makes its second festival appearance with heart throbbing Samba-Reggae rhythms. (12:40 p.m. to 12:55 p.m.)
- Gordon Sterling and the People: This team of incredible musicians brings forth a fresh and exciting palette of original, dynamic soul/rock tunes. (11:55 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.)
- Mr. Jon & Friends: Parents Choice Award winning music for children and their families is all about fun, movement, and laughter. (11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.)
- DJ Stylus "The Vibe Conductor": Bring your dancing shoes or just go barefoot for this fun and energetic. (7 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
