Tinner Hill Musical Festival Returns To Falls Church With Music, Food, More
Relax on hammocks, get a massage, enjoy a beer garden and bring the kids for fun at the returning Tinner Hill Music Festival.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Cherry Hill Park will again be filled with the sounds of music as the Tinner Hill Music Festival returns Saturday.
The festival, held by the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, will happen Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Along with musical entertainment throughout the day, the event includes art, activities for all ages, food from local restaurants and a beer garden.
Because the festival is limited to ticket attendees, Cherry Hill Park will be closed to the public starting at 6 p.m. on Friday. The park will reopen to the public on Sunday morning.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit that works to preserve and share the Falls Church area's African American history. The foundation will be at the festival with displays about its events and projects.
Admission to the festival requires a ticket, which costs $30 in advance plus fees or $40 at the gate. Tickets for students ages 12 to 22 cost $10 plus fees in advance, and children 11 and under get free admission with a paying adult.

The highlight of the event is the musical entertainment on an outdoor stage at Cherry Hill Park. Ida Campbell, host of Don't Forget The Blues, Friday edition on WPFW 89.3FM, will serve as emcee.

- 11:15 a.m. - Rocknoceros (children's music)
- 11:55 a.m. - Gaye Adegbalola
- 12:55 p.m. - Shamans of Sound with special guest Gordon Sterling
- 2:15 p.m. - The Boneshakers
- 3:45 p.m. - Joe Louis Walker
- 5:30 p.m. - Dumpstaphunk: 5:30 PM
- 7 p.m. - Closing Festival Dance Party with DJ Stylus
While enjoying music, attendees can enjoy the Food Village with local restaurant and food truck offerings like pizza, barbecue and more. The ROCK STAR Beer Garden will serve up craft beer and over alcoholic drinks.
The Artists' Village will allow attendees to view and buy artwork from visual artists, jewelers and more. The Relaxation Village will let attendees unwind with yoga, massages, stretching with PT, Kill the Kettle Bell, and hanging hammocks. The Kids' Village will feature face painting by the Vienna Singing Princesses, water play, books, and more.
